Go Green on Your Business Trip

business travelTravel is a necessary part of the executive’s job these days. You may find yourself jetting across town for a dinner meeting or lunch with potential clients on a regular basis.

With Earth Day only recently behind us, the thought of being environmentally conscious when considering your transportation options should be fresh in the mind of everyone.

Here in San Francisco, all one needs to do is look at the Golden Gate Bridge during rush hour to realize the staggering number of vehicles on the road each day.

Those several hundreds, even thousands of cars generate a depressingly large amount of smog and other emissions that are harmful to our environment and atmosphere.

If you are one of the many executives in the city and you find yourself planning power lunches and client dinners, check out some of these amazing options for your transportation. San Francisco has an ever-increasing “Green Fleet” to help you get to and from your destinations with very little impact on the environment.

Zero Emission Sedans

There are several cars on the market now that boast of having zero emissions. While some don’t exactly scream “executive travel,” there are a few that are more than capable of handling your travel needs while having little to no effect on the environment. The eco friendly Tesla

One of the most popular cars in the zero emissions market would have to be the Tesla. This vehicle has been all over the news lately thanks to the environmentally friendly vehicles that are designed, manufactured, and sold, all while based in the United States. Just because it is an electric car doesn’t mean you have to worry about sacrificing class and comfort. This car is sleek and dynamic and has the ability to accommodate three passengers as well as up to six suitcases.

If you’re looking for something a little more well-known, the Mercedes E-Class is also a stylish zero emissions transportation option. This slick black ride screams class while you’re chauffeured around town without contributing to the decline of our atmosphere.

Hybrid Vehicle

Usually when people think of a hybrid car, they automatically think of the Prius. While there is certainly nothing wrong with a Prius for your everyday transportation, when it comes to a vehicle to haul your executive from the office to an upscale restaurant for dinner, the little compact hybrid car just won’t do.

Luckily, more automotive makers have been creating their own luxury hybrid options. Take, for instance, the Lexus RX. Lexus has long been known as a contender in theco friendly car service bay areae luxury vehicle market, so the fact that they have put out their own hybrid vehicle will help you realize that when you travel in their RX model, you are not only traveling in style, but also doing so in an environmentally safe option. This SUV option not only has the ability to transport you and a few of your colleagues to dinner, but there is also plenty of space for any necessary luggage or work related items in the back.

Share the Ride

If you’re planning on transportation for more than one executive, some of the above options may not be feasible. You can still be environmentally conscious when booking transportation for a large group of executives. Instead of taking several cars or SUVs and having only one or two people in each, you can splurge on a limousine or party bus to handle the larger group. When you are able to take just one vehicle, instead of two or three, you are still contributing to a healthier environment.

We only have one earth for ourselves as well as our future generations. While choosing a car for your client dinner may not seem like a good way to help out, picking the right one certainly can. Look for vehicles that have zero emissions or even hybrid options. Not only will you be transported in style and class, you’ll also be doing your part to ensure this world is here for many generations to come.
