Inspiring Travel Bloggers from Around the Country

2014 Travel BlogsIt would seem that there is a blog out there for everything. From parenting to exercise tips and from makeup application to travel, blogs have the ability to reach people in ways that were at one time thought to be impossible. One of our favorite ways to get lost in our thoughts after a long day of work or to gather inspiration for an upcoming vacation is to peruse some of the travel blogs the Internet has to offer. In fact, we’ve put together our favorites from 2014 for you to enjoy as well! Let their experiences and pictures motivate you to planning an amazing trip across the country, or the world, in 2015!

Alex Robertson Textor

This prolific traveler has been to so many places it’s hard to pick just one to point out. From Brazil to Brussels, Germany to Guatemala, Romania to Russia and from San Francisco to Switzerland, this blogger has probably been everywhere you’ve ever wanted to be. He considers his blog to be about “value-friendly travel, local culture, cool objects & design”, so it should basically appeal to anyone with a desire to get out and see the world!

Another Something

This travel blog is ideal for those that love the minimalist movement. In addition to fantastical pictures of destinations unknown, there are also some pretty useful blogs about gift ideas for the traveler in your life. You’ll find sections that focus on cycling, craftsmanship, photography, and creative culture as well as all the travel tidbits you could possibly want in a travel blog.

Atlas Obscura

If you’re a fan of the oddities that can’t be found on most mainstream travel maps, then the Atlas Obscura blog is perfect for you. You’ll find posts about the World’s Largest Cross as well as incredible architectural marvels like the Thorncrown Chapel. This is the kind of blog you want to read up on if you’re hoping to find the quirkiest places and exciting stops that aren’t often included in most travel itineraries. Joshua Foer is the creator of this blog and he’s had the amazing opportunity to put his unique travel experiences in a blog for you with the hopes of motivating your own excursions into the strange and unknown.

Babyccino Kids

This list of amazing travel blogs wouldn’t be complete without Babyccino Kids. While the previous blogs do touch on destinations that are ideal for families, this particular travel blog is entirely focused on family fun for all ages around the world. They’ve even provided city guides for destinations like Amsterdam, London, and Paris so you can find the best place for pizza in Amsterdam or the most incredible candy store in Paris. Basically you’ll be able to find anything and everything you need to keep your kids happy on a trip around the world.

Design Tripper

If you don’t like to travel because you just can’t feel at home in many different hotel accommodations that some of these vacation destinations have to offer then you should definitely consult the Design Tripper blog before your next big trip. Meghan McEwen has made it her goal to compile a blog that provides her readers with accommodations that are not only cozy and home-like but that also include some of the most thoughtful perks and features to ensure your next trip is a happy one.

Eat Your World

Food and travel can go hand in hand and Scott Rosen and Laura Siciliano-Rosen have combined the two for a blog that will entice your taste buds. Your mouth will water over their incredible pictures and deliciously detailed posts about the incredible local cuisine offered by different travel destinations around the world. You should definitely consult Eat Your World before your next big trip for some suggestions on which foods you should try once you get there.

These incredible blogs should not only inspire you to travel but should also inspire you to document your own travel experiences. Blogs are a great way to share your memories once you’re back on your home soil. Maybe next year we can put your new travel blog on our favorites list!
