The Golden State’s Best Golf Courses for Business or Pleasure

California Golf CoursesOne of the best ways for executives and entry level associates to relax and connect with their colleagues or superiors is by heading out to the links for a round of 18 holes of golf. When you spend upwards of 80 hours a week at work surrounded by the tall buildings in the city and fighting traffic on your way to and from work, it’s nice to get away on the weekend to enjoy the beauty of bright green grass of a world class golf course. You can feel the warm sun on your face and get a bit of exercise as well.

If you want to plan a golf outing in California, we’ve put together a list of the Golden State’s best golf courses. Whether you’re playing colleagues for business networking or with friends for a fun day away from the house, any one of these courses would be perfect.

Golden Gate Park Golf Course

For those that reside around San Francisco, you won’t have to go too far to arrange a game at the Golden Gate Park Golf Course. Although this is a smaller course, just a 9 hole, par 3 course to be exact, it’s on our list because of the beauty that surrounds it. Even though it is a smaller course, it still has challenging holes that range from under 100 yards up to 200 yards making it perfect for experienced golfers that want to perfect their short game. You can even grab a bite to eat at the on-site Windmill Grill.

Presidio Golf Course

Another course located in San Francisco is the Presidio Golf Course. For those that like a little variety when they play a round of golf, this course has been built over three different types of terrain: adobe clay, rock, and even sand. This makes for quite the challenging game and you’ll absolutely love how they’ve managed to create a world class course without compromising the integrity of the surrounding nature. They also have an on-site Presidio Café for a meal once you’ve worked up an appetite after a rousing 18 holes of golf.

The Clubhouse at Anaheim Hills Golf Course

Settled in the rolling hills and valleys of Anaheim Hills in Orange County, the Clubhouse at Anaheim Hills Golf Course is an 18 hole, par 71 golf course perfect for new and experienced golfers alike. This golf course went through a complete remodel back in 2004 and has a breathtaking 30,000 square-foot Spanish Mediterranean-style building that looks out over the fairways. If you love this place as much as we think you will, they also have the ability to host any business conferences or meetings you may have coming up in the future. Be sure to stop in on a Sunday for their Live Jazz Sunday Champagne Brunch!

Chardonnay Golf Club

In Jamieson Canyon, east of Napa, you’ll find the Chardonnay Golf Club. Aptly named, considering its close proximity to the Wine Country that California is famous for, this semi-private course is spread out over 150 acres of Chardonnay Vineyards. They have created a challenging course with a variety of holes. You’ll find six par fives, six par fours, and six par three holes that are ideal for golfers at any level of expertise. Those that have the opportunity to play here will also be delighted by the fauna that abounds, everything from birds to rabbits and foxes. There is a food and beverage staff that has the ability to provide box lunches to eat while you take a break and enjoy nature.

When you’re ready to head out to hit a round of golf with your friends, colleagues, or a boss you’re trying to impress, any one of these courses are sure to please everyone. Make it a VIP experience to remember and reserve a Bay Area car service for the day. Even if you choose to enjoy a cocktail or glass of champagne to celebrate your win, you’ll still be able to arrive home safely.
