How to Have the San Francisco Date Night Ever
If you are planning a date night in San Francisco, the opportunities to make your night spectacular are nearly endless. From San Francisco’s gorgeous city lights to the iconic Golden Gate bridge, creating the perfect date in the Bay City can go in any direction. In fact, it’s enough to be a little overwhelming. But before you start fretting over what you should do, read this article. To help you create a unique and memorable date night in San Francisco, we’ve compiled a list of the best transportation options, restaurants, and sites to visit.
Book a Chauffeured Car
Chauffeured transportation is the only way to go when you’re on a date in San Francisco. Shouldering the responsibility of driving yourself can divide your attentions between the road and your significant other. That’s the last thing you want on a romantic night out. Spring for a chauffeured car so you can turn your full attention to your significant other and you don’t have to experience road rage. As a bonus, you won’t have to worry about driving yourself home if you decide to have a few glasses of wine at the restaurant. Plus, with all of the wandering tourists and a trolley scooting by what seems like every minute, you’ll be glad to have a Chauffeur ready and waiting when you’re ready to explore San Francisco’s grandeur.
Grab Some Seafood
One of the best aspects of San Francisco’s food scene is the phenomenal seafood. And even if you aren’t a seafood lover, you are likely to find San Francisco’s fresh offerings delicious anyway. Much of San Francisco’s seafood is brought in from Fisherman’s Wharf just a few minutes from downtown. Some of our favorite Bay City seafood can be found at Tadich Grill. One of the oldest restaurants in the United States, it’s also one of the best seafood restaurants in all of California. Established in 1849, Tadich first opened as a coffee stand but quickly changed into a first-class restaurant. The freshest and most delicious seafood, as well as a charmingly San Francisco atmosphere, awaits you and your date there.
Stop In at a Nice Hotel
If you want a place where the two of you can be alone after your romantic night out in San Francisco, you have a litany of options. Choices range from a simple room on the Wharf where you can hear the gulls and see the fog up close, to a room in the heart of San Francisco’s bustling downtown. Our recommendation is the latter, with the Sir Francis Drake hotel right off Union Square being among some of the finest date-night lodgings in San Francisco.
As soon as you pull up in your chauffeured car to the Sir Francis, you know you’re in for something special. You’ll be greeted by the jolly Beefeater doormen, who will provide you with a warm and enthusiastic welcome. Beyond that, you’ll also find a splendid, well-serviced bar on the bottom floor. (And more than likely, a celebrity will be schmoozing with a mojito in hand down there.) You could also take the elevator to the Harry Denton Starlight bar on the top floor. It offers a private, red-velvet curtain sort of atmosphere, as well as amazing cocktails and some breathtaking views of San Francisco’s skyline.
From the luxury of a having Chauffeur to finding the perfect restaurant to booking a room in a great hotel, the choices are numerous. But whatever you decide to do on your San Francisco date night, it is sure to be a date for the ages.
