Although the Giants started out in New York, they moved to their current home of San Francisco back in 1958.

They are also one of the winningest team in the history of American baseball.

With 22 National League pennants and 7 World Series Championships, the San Francisco Giants also have the most players in all of professional baseball inducted in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

These should be reasons enough to get out of the house & down to AT&T Park to watch a game.

If you haven’t had a chance to see a game yet, we’ve put together some stats to help get you caught up.

Year to Date Stats

The San Francisco Giants are boasting of yet another winning season.

Currently sitting at 26 wins and only 15 losses, the team is hoping to snag another World Series Championship to add to their record.

They are, after all, only second to the St. Louis Cardinals with their 11 wins.

Tim Lincecum recently pitched one of the best games of the year when he struck out 11 in a game against the Atlanta Braves. Thanks to this amazing display, he was able to walk off the field to a standing ovation from all of the Giants’ fans.

There are a few different batting leaders on the Giants’ team, with Angel Pagan holding two positions. Not only does he have a batting average of .322, he also holds the top position with his 47 hits of the season.

Brandon Belt is leading the team in home runs with 9, while Michael Morse has been helping his teammates with thanks to his 25 RBIs.

Buster Posey rounds out the top batters with his .392 OBP average.

San Francisco Treats

Thanks to the excellent location of the San Francisco Giants playing field, AT&T Park, there are plenty of places to fill your belly with some of the best food the city has to offer.

Now, just because the HRD Coffee Shop has the word coffee in their name doesn’t mean that’s all they serve. If you’re on the way to a Giants game and in dire need of typical greasy, yet delicious food, stop in and try their Mongolian cheesesteak or maybe a spicy kimchi pork burrito. They’re only a few blocks away from AT&T Park, so you’ll be able to work some of it off before settling in for a game.

Baseball and burgers seem to go hand in hand, which is why you should visit Burgers at Marlowe. Using incredible ingredients like Niman Ranch beef and lamb, along with toppings like bacon and horseradish aioli, your taste buds will be thanking you for making this stop on the way to or from a Giants game.
