Home of the San Francisco Giants
Baseball fans rejoice! We are well into yet another exciting baseball season, and the San Francisco Giants are currently ranked 1st in the National League Western Division. With a current season sitting at 46 wins to their 34 losses, they’re poised to make their way to yet another World Series Championship.
The die-hard fans of the San Francisco Giants come together at AT&T Park, which is so incredible, that it was given the prestigious award of Sports Facility of the Year in 2008 by Sports Business Journal and Sports Business Daily during their inaugural Sports Business Awards program. If you’ve never watched a Giant’s game at AT&T Park, you’re certainly missing out on an experience of a lifetime.
@Cafe Powered by Jive
Social media has taken over almost every aspect of our lives, and Giants baseball is no exception. In fact, AT&T Park has become one of the most connected sports venues in terms of social media in the entire world. You’ll be able to experience this first hand in @Cafe Powered by Jive which is located just behind the bleachers at centerfield. Check out the real time mentions via Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook inside, as well as being able to see your own social conversations all on a massive 12’x4’ video wall.
In addition to seeing the real time social media mentions on that massive screen, fans will also be able to see up to date stats as well as the live game itself while kicking back and sipping on a coffee or espresso. The @Cafe will offer tea, coffee, and espresso served by Juma Ventures. This is just an added experience to the already exciting time you’re bound to be having while at a game at AT&T Park.
Event Services
You may be surprised to know that AT&T Park is set up to handle all kinds of events. For the die-hard baseball couple that met at a game, holding your wedding and reception at the ball park you met would be a dream come true. The park gives you the option of having your wedding on the field where your favorite team plays, in the clubhouse where your favorite players spend their time before games, in the Field Club Lounge, the Coca-Cola Fan Lot and Scoreboard Plaza, or the Club Level on Third Street.
The park has the ability to provide personal event coordination, decorations, audio and visual equipment, entertainment, and even Giants’ alumni appearances. This makes AT&T Park a perfect option for any birthday parties you have coming up for kids and adults as well as fantasy batting practices for your bachelor party. Some of the offered locations for events are classy enough to be used for corporate meetings and retirement events as well.
Entrance Rules
Before you’re able to enjoy a live game or seeing the social media interaction in the @Cafe, you’ll have to make sure you are able to enter the park. For the safety of the players as well as the fans, AT&T Park has started rolling out metal detectors this year with the hopes of having them fully implemented in all MLB parks throughout the country by 2015. If you have any medical devices that might set off the metal detectors, just let the security personnel know. Thanks to improved technology, most devices have been eliminated as alarm triggers. At most, you may be required to be screened with a handheld wand before being granted entrance.
Now that you’ve been given a basic rundown of the park, you should pack up the kids, your family, and friends and head over to enjoy America’s Favorite Pastime. Don’t be a slave to traffic and parking, though, and take advantage of a car service. That way you all arrive happy and on-time without worrying about the stress of driving yourself.
