Your Guide to San Francisco International Airport
There are millions of people that fly into and out of the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) each year. This major airport handles domestic and international flights given its location in a large city on the west coast.
If you’re one of those millions, you may find yourself spending time waiting around, either for a flight or to be picked up after a flight. In these situations, knowing your way around the airport will help you find ways to pass the time. Hopefully this guide to the San Francisco International Airport will help you anytime you’re in the area for business, a family vacation, or even just a short layover between flights.
Fine Dining
Gone are the days of bland food carts randomly interspersed throughout the airport. These days, airports offer amazing fine dining options to enjoy so you won’t have to settle for a paltry pack of peanuts once you’re in the air.
Located at the International Terminal Boarding Area A near Gate A3, you’ll find Amoura Café. They’re open from 5am to 12am, so you’ll be able to find something for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll love their Mediterranean style deli offerings and salads while also being able to enjoy a beer or glass of wine before your flight.
If your palate prefers Mexican cuisine, you’ll love Andalé Mexican Restaurant and their made-to-order entrees using fresh ingredients. There are also three different locations across the airport, so you’ll be able to enjoy their food no matter where you are. You can find them around at Terminal 3 Boarding Area F in the food court at the entrance to Gates 80 through 90, or the International Terminal boarding Area G near gate G91, as well as Terminal 2 Boarding Area D near Gate 59.
Maybe you just want something light to eat or a cup of coffee to keep you alert between flights. If you’re at Terminal 1 Boarding Area C near Gate 48, try an espresso or smoothie from Guava & Java. Over in the International Terminal Boarding Area A near Gate A11 is Il Fornaio Caffe Del Mondo with their menu of sandwiches, baked goods, and even beer and wine.
