Bay Area Boogie Nights
If you and your friends are trying to figure out what to do this weekend, why not get out and dance up a storm? San Francisco is home to so many different nightclubs that there is sure to be one playing the kind of music you like in a venue that matches your own personal style.
Whether you’re hoping to get out for a night on the town with your girls or doing something a little different for a date night, there is a nightclub in the Bay Area that is sure to get you in the dancing spirit.
Atmosphere
Located on Broadway in San Francisco, Atmosphere has a club experience for everyone. If you’re looking for a quieter spot to take a date and enjoy a cocktail, head into the lounge. Instead of the thumping music we’ve come to expect from a nightclub, ambient sound will surround you and allow you to be able to hold a conversation without yelling. You’ll also love the massive fish tank which is sure to be an excellent ice breaker if you’re out on a first date.
The bar is more than just a place to grab a drink. In addition to the full bar, there is also a pool table and several big screen TVs that will often show special events and even films. You can expect a wide variety of music as well since they rotate local DJs throughout the week.
Now, if you’re looking for a place to get your boogie on, the nightclub is where it’s at. This massive venue has a state of the art sound system that is sure to blow your hair back as you and your girls get together for a night of dancing. Be sure to check out the gorgeous views and the unique waterfall on the wall behind the bar.
Harlot
If we had to describe Harlot in one word, it would be sexy. Dark and sensuous, this nightclub is all about having the most beautiful people dancing and being seen in every corner.
For a more intimate evening, head upstairs to the semi-private area that has a full bar with a small dance floor and lounge couches to sit and chat. For those looking to show off their hot club wear and fabulous dance moves, the downstairs area is where you’ll want to be. The DJs play such a wide variety of music, you won’t know what to expect from song to song.
When dressing for a night out at Harlot, they recommend you turn up the sexy for both the ladies and the men. They’re very selective with the people they let in, so make sure you and your girls look your best.
Café Cocomo
Café Cocomo is just as perfect for a night out dancing as it is a unique location for a date night. If you arrive early at 8pm, you’ll be able to participate in their beginner and intermediate salsa dancing lessons.
Once the party gets started inside, you’ll be able to put your newfound dancing skills to the test. On Thursdays and Saturdays, you and your date will be able to shake it to the fabulous live band as they play some of the hottest in salsa music. Even if you aren’t comfortable dancing, you can still be entertained by those that take their salsa dancing very seriously.
Drink Responsibly
It’s probably safe to say that you and your friends will be drinking while out on the town. You could also be sharing a cocktail or two while out on a date. We definitely want you to enjoy yourselves, but you can do so while still being responsible. If you’re going with a big group of people, rent out a party bus so you don’t have to worry about anyone drinking and driving. Additionally, if you’re taking a girl out on a first date, make sure it’s one to remember by picking her up in a chauffeured limousine or SUV. She’ll appreciate the extra thought you put into making it a special evening and you’ll both be able to enjoy the night to the fullest.
No matter what your taste in music or nightlife may be, San Francisco has a nightclub for you. Get your girls or group of guys together and head out to some of the hottest clubs the Bay Area has to offer.
