Can’t Miss Halloween Events

Bay Area Halloween EventsSan Francisco has been touted to be one of the most haunted cities in the country and with Halloween just around the corner, it is definitely time to make plans for a fun-filled night. Whether you celebrate with family or friends or any age, with October 31st falling on a Friday for 2014, the possibilities are limitless. With all of the great attractions in the bay area, the only hard part is figuring out which ones you will be able to attend. Fortunately, many events have been scheduled starting the weekend before Halloween all the way through November 1.

Family Friendly Events

Let’s face it, for kids (and some adults), Halloween is all about the costumes and candy. As parents, it can be hard finding the right Halloween venue to ensure the safety of your children. For a safe and fun way for younger children to enjoy showing off their costumes and getting candy, join the Moscone’s Tiny Tot Parade Halloween Party. Children can meet at the Moscone Recreation Center to receive trick or treat bags filled with candy, play games, participate in arts and crafts, and then march in a parade to visit area merchants to receive even more candy!

If you’re looking for fun for the entire family, there are plenty of exciting and family-friendly Halloween events going on all around the Bay Area this year.

Adults Only

Many of the bay area’s most popular nightclubs are starting the party early with special events scheduled for the weekend before Halloween. From costume contests to haunted houses, San Francisco is ready to have some fun. If you have been working to find the perfect costume this year, why save it for just one night? Most of your favorite hotspots decorate more for Halloween than any other holiday, transforming them to give you the spooky, scary and spine tingling feeling you have been waiting for all year.

The Westin is hosting their 13th Annual Halloween Massive titled “The Devil Inside,” featuring one of San Francisco’s biggest ballrooms where you can dance the night away. This event is held the weekend before Halloween so you won’t have to miss out on any family time, and has sold out in the previous years, so it would be best to purchase your tickets early. The Rocca Event Center is also presenting Dracula’s Trap: Halloween on Saturday, October 25, with three different areas: Dracula’s Lair, where professional photographers will capture a photograph of you and your friends in costume against a decorative backdrop; Dracula’s Trap, where the music is flowing with 3D laser shows, psychedelic video animation and a huge balloon drop; and Dracula’s Retreat, a VIP mezzanine lounge overlooking the whole crowd with a complimentary glass of wine or champagne.

Hit the Road

In order to get the most out of Halloween this year, you should definitely consider checking into a professional car service for the evening. There are many benefits to letting someone else be responsible for driving you to all your Halloween destinations, and more importantly, getting you home safe and sound after all the fun. Not only will you not have to fight your way through traffic trying to dodge all those little trick-or-treaters, you’ll be able to keep your Halloween mask and costume on and looking its best for all those contests you’re going to win.

A newer trend that you have probably heard about is a “party bus.” There are companies that specialize in party buses, and many professional car services have now added these to their fleet as well. A party bus will allow you to continue the party even between destinations. What better way to check it out than to experience it yourself for Halloween? This way you and all your friends can travel together and no one will get a parking ticket.

With all of the great events scheduled this year for Halloween in the bay area, the possibilities for fun are endless. From family friendly events to those for everyone 21 and over, San Francisco does Halloween right. So, let your creativity flow as you prepare your costume and those for your family or friends and get ready for all those contests!
